What happens if I fill out the pre-screening questionnaire?
If you pass the initial study screener, we will connect you with a clinical study location in your area that needs volunteers or notify you when one becomes available. The study team will then contact you and you may have the opportunity to participate if qualified.
If there is not a current study in your area, a Patient Engagement Specialist may reach out to you in the future via the email address or phone number (call or text) you provided to share information about new study opportunities you may qualify for.
Keep in mind that participation is entirely voluntary. If you decide to take part in this study, you may change your mind about participating at any time.
Glabellar lines, also called frown lines, are the wrinkles that form between your eyebrows when you frown or furrow your brows. The muscles of the face work together to create facial expressions to communicate emotions. People develop glabellar lines through natural facial expressions that are made throughout life. Over time, these lines can become more noticeable.1
This glabellar lines study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational treatment to help reduce these vertical lines or wrinkles between the eyebrows.
A clinical research study (also called a clinical trial) is a medical study that helps to answer important questions about an investigational drug or vaccine—these may include how well an investigational study drug or vaccine works for a certain condition. All medications must be tested in clinical research studies before they can be approved and prescribed to patients.
A clinical research study is the process by which new and innovative medications, interventions and treatments are approved and brought to market.
Even over-the-counter medications have gone through the clinical research study process before it was available at your local pharmacy.
Those who qualify to take part in the study may receive compensation for study participation. Please discuss this with the study team when they contact you.
The research team will be able to explain more about what the glabellar lines study will involve, and it is up to you to decide if you want to participate. Participation in this study is voluntary. Whether or not you decide to participate in this study will not affect your current or future relationships with your doctors. If you decide to participate, you are free to withdraw without affecting those relationships.
We will match you to a study site within a close travel distance from your home. If we are not running the study in your area currently, with your permission, we will keep you in our database and reach out once a study in your area becomes available. If, at any time, you decide you no longer want your information stored, you can opt out and we will delete your details.
This glabellar lines study is looking to enroll about 126 adults with moderate to severe frown (glabellar) lines between their eyebrows. The study will include approximately 14 visits over 12 weeks.
All study-related care will be provided by a team of medical professionals at no cost to you. Volunteers who qualify to take part in the study may be compensated for participating in the study.
